AI Engineer Intern - Synthetic Radar Data Generation (F/M/D)

The “Edge AI and Vision” group of our “Integrated & Wireless Systems” Business Unit based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is currently looking for a AI Engineer Intern – Synthetic Radar Data Generation.
Your mission
The candidate will develop and use a radar simulation platform to generate high-quality synthetic radar data for training and evaluating AI models. They will create realistic 3D environments in Blender, build automated data generation pipelines, and support the development of deep learning models for radar perception tasks. The goal is to enable robust AI solutions by leveraging physics-based synthetic data and modern machine learning techniques.
The candidate is expected to present their results at the end of the project, which will last a minimum of 6 months.
Your responsibilities
- Create and configure radar simulation scenarios and generate synthetic radar datasets
- Design and prepare 3D environments and assets using Blender for radar simulation
- Develop Python scripts to automate data generation and preprocessing workflows
- Train and evaluate deep learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Apply basic signal processing techniques such as filtering, denoising, and data preparation
- Document workflows and support continuous improvement of the simulation and AI pipeline
- Develop and configure radar simulation scenarios using a radar simulation platform
- Capability to autonomously learn new technologies and apply them creatively

Your Profile
Know-how
- Student in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Knowledge of neural networks, including LSTM and Transformer architectures
- Experience with Blender for 3D scene creation or willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of signal processing concepts
- Interested in simulation, AI, and radar technologie
