D. Company visitor identification and optimisation technology

We use SalesViewer® technology from SalesViewer® GmbH in order to collect and store company-related website usage data for marketing, market research and optimisation purposes.

For this purpose, a JavaScript-based code is used to collect company-related data and corresponding website usage. The data collected using this technology is encrypted by means of a non-reversible one-way function (hashing). The data are immediately pseudonymised and are not used by CSEM to identify visitors personally.

SalesViewer® describes its tracking technology as cookieless for tracking purposes. However, if you use the SalesViewer® opt-out function, an opt-out cookie may be stored on your device in order to remember your objection.

E. Third-party content and social media

Our website may contain embedded content or links to third-party services such as videos, social media content, or external platforms. If such services are activated on our website, the relevant third party may set up its own cookies or similar technologies and process data according to its own privacy and cookie policies.

5. Retention

Cookies and similar technology retention periods vary depending on their purpose.

  • strictly necessary cookies last only for the session or for a limited period necessary for the service;
  • Google Analytics cookies last up to 2 years,
  • Hotjar cookies and related storage items last from the session up to 365 days depending on the item used;
  • SalesViewer® -related data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and no legal retention obligation applies;
  • consent records are retained as long as necessary to demonstrate and manage your preferences.
