The “Smart Connected System” group of our “Integrated & Wireless Systems” Business Unit based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, is currently looking for an Embedded System Engineer (IoT)

Your mission

You will propose innovative, elegant, and sustainable solutions to address our customers’ challenges in the field of IoT. It will consist in sketching architectures, design embedded systems comprising sensors, processing, power harvesting/management and communication. These systems will be based on COTS components and house-made ASICs.

Your responsibilities

Your main tasks will be the following:

  • Contribute to analyze customer requirements and elaborate offers.
  • Propose innovative solutions and out-of-the-box approaches to solve challenges.
  • Sketch architectures and design schematics, considering COTS components procurement.
  • Stay at the edge of novelty by reviewing literature and tracking evolution of components.
  • Contribute to sustainability by helping us to explore the field of green electronics.
  • Propose and design outstanding demonstrators for house made ASICs (imagers, AI enabled SoCs, audio-processing and RF transceivers)
  • Collaborate with experts in the fields of antenna, WPT, communication, AI, RTOS, security, sensing and many others.
  • Document your work on a regular basis.

Know-how

  • Education background in Electronics (HES or
  • Several years of experience in system design (PCB, HW and FW) with a preference for embedded and miniaturized solutions.
  • Fascinated by the possibilities offered nowadays to capture and analyze data in miniaturized and low-power devices
  • Fluent in French and English

 Interpersonal skills

  • Curious, proactive and solution finder.
  • Capable to handle multiple tasks while keeping a clear mind about priorities and expected outcomes (quality, delay, cost).
  • Team player with good communication skills allowing you to interact easily with your colleagues, our suppliers and partners even when they are under stress
  • Eager to learn from your experienced colleagues, you are proactive and creative to find solutions
