Our Medical system group part of our dynamic and successful business unit dedicated to Medical Technologies, based in Bern, is looking for a Project Manager - System Engineer.
Your mission
As an accomplished system engineer with expertise in leading projects across hardware, firmware, software, mechanics, and algorithm development, you excel in environments that drive innovation within startups and established organizations in the wearable and medical device sectors. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire and lead research and industrial initiatives focused on digital health monitoring and medical devices.
Your responsibilities
- Manage research and industrial projects focused on digital health systems (smartwatches, wearable devices, patient monitoring solutions, and medical devices).
- Lead project planning and budget tracking, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and help formalize requirements for the system to be developed.
- Act as a system engineer and lead the technical development.
- Contribute to the development of digital health activities, including business development, proposal writing, and grant acquisition.
The primary place of work will be Bern, with occasional presence in Neuchâtel.
Your profile
Know-how
- Superior level of education (MSc or PhD) in Engineering.
- Strong project management experience across multiple research and/or industrial projects.
- Experience in proposal writing and grant acquisition for research and/or industrial projects is a plus.
- Proven experience in the design of systems including electronics, embedded firmware, software, and algorithms.
- Experience with medical development is a plus (ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1, IEC 62304).
- Fluent in English; French and/or German is required. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
