Our dynamic and successful Business Unit dedicated to Medical Technologies, based in Bern, Switzerland, is looking for a Group Leader IoMT & Cloud SW.
Your Mission
As an accomplished manager with expertise in leading projects and teams across IoMT, cloud computing and GenAI, software and algorithm development, you excel in environments that drive innovation in the wearable and medical device sectors. In close partnership with the Business Unit Leader Medtech, the other Group Leaders of the Business Unit and business stakeholders, you oversee the definition of the technological roadmap of your Group with a particular focus on medical GenAI applications that leverage CSEM wearable solutions. You lead and manage the Group’s operations, set and monitor the budget and ensure the smooth running of all projects. Your primary responsibility will be to acquire and lead research and industrial initiatives focused on digital health solution linked to AI, cloud SW, IoMT and medical devices.
Your Responsibilities
- Guide, manage and motivate a team of 7 highly qualified engineers and scientists by providing support, leadership and guidance for digital health AI solutions, IoMT, cloud SW and connected medical technologies
- Lead and manage the business activities and project portfolio of the Group, guiding projects acquisition and negotiation, and seeking a balanced project portfolio
- Maintain a good understanding of the market and the evolution of technologies and define the GenAI, IoMT, and cloud SW technology roadmap in relation to digital health
- Foster collaboration with the other Groups and business units within CSEM, as well as with academic and industrial partners in Switzerland and worldwide
- As ambassador represent CSEM at events, workshops and conferences re connected digital health solutions (wearables, mobile patient monitors, medical devices).
- Contribute to the growth of digital health activities at CSEM, including business development, proposal writing, and grant acquisition
The primary place of work will be Bern, with occasional presence in Neuchâtel.
Your profile
Know-how
- Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with min. 10 years of experience in the management of multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience in multiple of the application fields of GenAI, cloud SW, SaMD, SaaS, wearables, medical devices
- Experience in DevOps and the use of big databases engines (e.g., Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, data streaming, NoSQL, SQL or equivalent)
- Experience in vital signs monitoring (ECG, PPG, IPC…), mobile patient monitoring, and active medical devices
- Experience in working in normed environments such as ISO 13485 / IEC 60601-1/62304 for medical device SW
- Strong project management experience across multiple research and/or industrial projects.
- Experience in proposal writing and grant acquisition for research and/or industrial projects is a plus.
- Fluent in English is a must; French and/or German is required. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus.
