Our “Cell Microtechnologies” group, based in Neuchâtel is looking for a Technician in Cell Microtechnologies.

 

Your mission

You support engineers in their R&D activities for the development of innovative technologies in life sciences with complex cell models and manage the equipment and laboratory maintenance for BSL2 cell culture and system laboratories

 

Your responsibilities

As a Cell Microtechnologies, your main responsibilities are :

  • Manage cell supply and culture, including 3D cell culture models
  • Biological analyses, such as cell viability, cell counting, microscopy
  • Execute tasks according to engineers’ requests/instructions
  • Make measurements/tests, analyze and share results
  • Maintain the equipment, manage the products orders and stocks, along with lab supply budget
  • Maintain and improve processes
  • Participate in the quality maintenance and improvement, including related documentation
  • Be responsible for the laboratory
  • Safety officer for the BSL1 and BSL2 laboratories in Neuchâtel
  • Be involved in projects and in multidisciplinary activities

 

Your profile

Know-how

  • Professional/vocational level of education (CFC, Maturité) with several years of professional experience, or elementary level of education with relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in cell culture, and analyses (including microscopy)
  • Proven experience in sample preparation, testing and analysis following established protocols
  • Experience in operating and calibrating laboratory instruments
  • Knowledge in documentation and reporting of results
  • Broad knowledge of rules, processes, and concepts in own discipline and in laboratory management
  • Industrial experience and/or GMP compliance is an asset

 

Interpersonal skills

  • Fluency in French, and basic skills in English
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive collaboration with various internal partners across the organization including interdisciplinarity
  • Autonomous
  • Curious and eager to find solutions and new ideas to enhance activities in own job
