The “Additive Manufacturing & Component Reliability” group, based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland is opening a postdoctoral position in precision additive manufacturing & material analysis

Permanent contract of 2 years 

Your mission

Join our team and advance lithography-based additive manufacturing for the production of high-resolution, complex parts from a variety of materials, including polymers, metals, and ceramics. Apply and further develop your expertise in materials analysis, in the field of lithography-based additive manufacturing and beyond.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Your work will cover all aspects of lithography-based additive manufacturing, including feedstock formulation, process parameter development, and post-processing optimization.
  • You will apply various material analysis methods, involving mechanical testing, microscopy, and/or spectroscopy.
  • You will be responsible for the technical implementation of R&D projects, including planning, numerical and practical work, data analysis, documentation, and reporting.

 For this, you will work within a highly motivated and experienced project team and conduct multidisciplinary work in an industry-oriented environment.

 

Your profile

Know-how

  • PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Physics or another relevant discipline.
  • Proven expertise in materials analysis (with publication) with a focus on microstructure-property relationships.
  • Relevant experience in sinter-based processes.
  • Experience in the additive manufacturing field is a plus.
  • Excellent oral/written communications skills in English and/or French.
