What expertise does CSEM bring to Bern? How does it fit into the existing ecosystem of cutting-edge research? What has been achieved since the parliamentary decision in June? Which technologies are in clinical application?
The four partners provide answers at the information event for media and stakeholders.
The Canton of Bern has a bold vision: to become an international leader in medical innovation by 2030. To achieve this, the Canton is fostering collaboration among partners in education, research, and advanced medicine. That is why on June 13, 2023, the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern voted overwhelmingly to establish a CSEM site on the Inselspital campus.
As a part of its mission to support innovation in Switzerland, CSEM will be a catalyst for innovation in Bern. By leveraging its extensive expertise in microelectronics, microtechnology, and prototyping, CSEM will collaborate with the medical research and clinical expertise of the Inselspital, the University Hospital of Bern and the University of Bern. Together, they will develop cutting-edge digital health solutions that will benefit patients and society. This collaboration will also boost the MedTech HUB in Bern.
But what does this mean in concrete terms? For this purpose, a media and stakeholder orientation will take place, at which the four partners will present the cooperation as well as concrete projects.
