Forum Forward 2024
(French only) Ce forum organisé par Le Temps empoigne 4 domaines de la vie des PME - l'IA, la gouvernance, les RH et la démondialisation - pour en tirer du très concret.
The IoT has enabled extensive monitoring and control of daily life, but each sensor requires power and eventually disposal. Given the push for a sustainable world, it is important to consider whether IoT is part of the solution or the problem. CSEM’s next Tech Talk will discuss this vital topic with a distinguished panel of speakers. They will explore how IoT is tackling these challenges today and what needs to be done to achieve sustainability in the future.
The Internet of Things (IoT) offers unprecedented possibilities to monitor and control our everyday lives. In the present context of declining availability of natural resources and rising environmental concerns, tracking, sensing, and monitoring solutions are becoming essential to save resources and energy. These capabilities are provided by a plethora of IoT solutions not only addressing goods and processes, but also comfort, health, and security.
However, the deployment of tens of billions of connected sensors is becoming a challenge, both economically and environmentally; every sensor needs to be powered, operated, and disposed of. Considering the push for a sustainable world, is the IoT part of the solution, or part of the problem?
Join us at our Tech Talk to discuss this vital topic! Our distinguished panel of speakers we will explore how the IoT is tackling these challenges today, as well as addressing what needs to be done to achieve sustainability in the future.
